Suppose you could ask God the most puzzling questions about existence. Questions about love, faith, life and dead, good and evil. Suppose God provided clear, understandable answers. Answers that will amaze you with complex paradoxes that make perfect sense and profound logic. Answers that bring together as one the deeper meaning of all beliefs and traditions. Answers that will change you, your life and the way you view your fellow beings.
“God” in this book is not the god of christianity, hinduism, islam, ... He is much more: the omni-present energy, the source of everything and the final goal for everyone. He is all of us, and we are all like him.
This book has been on the NY Times best seller list for over 100 weeks, has sold more than 1.5 million copies and has been translated into 24 languages.
It’s more than just a book. By reading it you will often be amazed by the logic of the words. It almost can not have been written without the inspiration of a higher source. Or as Neale Donald Walsch says: “At first it seemed like a higher part of myself, like an interesting mind game. But in a matter of weeks, I started coming up with information that I had never thought of before, philosophical and theological constructions of which I would never have dreamed and comments that I would not normally or routinely have made about things.”
This book is the first part of an extraordinary trilogy. Related books have been published as well (Guidebook, Meditations from Conversations with God, Questions and Answers on Conversations with God, ...). Once you’ve read this first part and if you have a sincere desire to seek the truth, I’m sure you will want to read the other books as well.
Awakening the Buddhist heart: Integrating Love, Meaning and Connection into Every Part of Your Life (Lama Surya Das)

Surya Das is the highest trained American lama in Tibetan tradition, and author of 2 previous bestselling books: Awakening the Buddha Within and Awakening to the Sacred. His books show in a very clear and easy-readable way how we can integrate Buddhist principles in our everyday (western) life.
Buddhism tells us that all of our bonds are sacred and sometimes our adversaries prove to be our greatest teachers. The author teaches how to learn from those we love, as well as those we don't love, and how to let go of negative emotions while developing and expanding our spiritual and emotional intelligence. The book provides specific exercises and meditations. Illustrated with Western situations, it shows us how by developing our spiritual intelligence we can make all of our relationships better and more profound.
You don't have to be a Buddhist to enjoy this book. Lama Surya Das being American, he knows very well how to explain the Buddhist teachings and how to apply them in our life. Or as Joan Borysenko, author of A Woman's Journey to God expresses it: "This brilliant, amusing and wise book is the perfect distillation of ancient spiritual wisdom for our times. Practical and down-to-earth, it has the power to awaken you to an ever-deepening relationship with all of life".

This children's book with short stories has a hero who is deaf, Matthew, but his deafness does not hold him back.
The author herself was a teacher of deaf children for thirty years and has drawn on the knowledge gained to introduce positively what it means to live with deafness. She is hard hearing herself so has experienced this first hand.
The exciting stories are set in rugged, beautiful north east England. Conservation issues are introduced through animals which live in the area, like Freddie the dolphin. Matthew's grandfather is a fisherman in the North Sea.

Our materialistic, power-driven society values "smarts" more than feelings. Could this be why there are so many ailing hearts out there; so many hearts that are stressed, hurt, silenced? And can we, by healing our hearts on an emotional and spiritual level, heal our organic hearts as well?
THE HEART JOURNAL approaches the subject on an imaginative, mythological level that promotes healing from within not only for physically ill people, but everybody who is longing to reconnect to the heart as the true center of the universe.
